Where hard work, resilience, and responsibility came together.
I didn’t begin sixth form planning to take Further Maths — but that changed quickly. As I dove deeper into A-Level Maths, I found myself captivated by the challenge, the structure, and the creativity it demanded. I wanted more. So over the summer break, I made a decision: to independently study the entire Year 1 Further Maths curriculum so I could join the course in my second year.
By the time second year began, I had earned my place in the class — and eventually graduated with:
Elected to represent the student body, I acted as a liaison between students and faculty, led weekly assemblies, and supported student well-being. I also organized events, mentored younger students, and delivered speeches at formal school functions — all while balancing academic responsibilities.
Basketball kept me grounded. Amid the pressure of exams and leadership duties, training with my team was both a release and a reminder of the importance of rhythm, teamwork, and focus. It taught me persistence under pressure — lessons I carried into the classroom and beyond.
